𝗔𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗗𝗖 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 (at their 2018 ACIP meeting) which was suspected to cause heart attacks during safety trials.

They approve the new product, despite known concerns (expressed after they vote 'yes') with the intention that it will be used for two years and they will observe how bad the effects are on people -- how do you feel about you or your children's life being used in a potentially life threatening experiment without your knowledge or consent?

This is how brand-new products are approved to the pediatric schedule.
Basic dialogue before they voted:

𝗤: Is it dangerous to use this product with other similar products?
𝗔: We have no data on that.
𝗔: Once approved, it will be given along with other similar products but we have no clue whether that's safe or not.

𝗤: Do we at least have any data from other countries that used this product in combination with other similar products?
𝗔: Nope

Sounds good to me. Let’s vote yes!

Only after they vote, one guy voices concern over 16 heart attack deaths in the safety trials.

NOTE: if/when victims are injured by these types of products, doctors and society often deny the connection to the product; thus, that 'post-market data' (collecting the results of how people where effected) they mention to consider is very much down-played (doctors do not attribute the harm to the product). Therefore, the potentially harmful results may never be accurately or fully reported (as such the product may likely stay on the schedule despite known dangers and may continue to harm others).
