....... You want to know how to identify the biggest, most clueless, holier than thou, uber arrogant, blow hard, douche bag, opinion leaders out there? First off, these people think they have a high IQ, which may be true, but looking at them, a high IQ would be the last thing I'd ever want.... it seems the IQ types have like zero common sense.... book smarts only.... they excel in the ability, to be indoctrinated. If they are "taught" something, they'll never question it. And empirical evidence? These high IQ types frown upon it, they prefer the nice neat abstract mathematical modeling and the all the pseudoscience that surrounds it. They have zero qualm's about putting their full faith behind things that are not observable, not testable and not repeatable.... if one of their "authorities" teach them something, pseudoscience is just as good as real science.... a professor, NASA, it doesn't matter, whatever they spew, these high IQ types, swallow it all, whether through a straw or if it's just one big wad, they gulp till it's deep inside them. Sad but true.
So yes, spot one of these types by looking for a few key characteristics... "I have a high IQ", is one sign, and of course they'll constantly reference the things of fairy-tales, such as the spinning ball earth, gravity, dinosaurs, the Holocaust, and one of their favorites... nuclear radiation. Our smart people aren't very bright, is what it boils down to. Do we really care if you're a whiz at calculus, or would we prefer a little common sense, and an open mind?
Scientists, and especially food scientists, seem to be extra faulty in regards to being this type of clueless dupe and fake science sucker, running from one "holy shit horror", to another, constantly... just completely living their entire life in a state of fear, expecting the sky to fall at anytime. Sad but true.
