Isaac and I on our 2nd day exploring central Utah...

On day 1, we explored the San Rafael Swell (April 2025.) Day 2 brought us to Canyonlands - another completely unplanned visit!

We ended up in the Island in the Sky District. There are two other major destinations in Canyonlands, however in one day, we were quite satisfied exploring the Island in the Sky and all it had to offer!

Grand View Overlook (including a hike), Mesa Arch (short walk), Upheaval Dome (another short hike with an option for a longer hike.) Those were the main highlights of Canyonlands that we explored on our visit.

I had hoped to spend some time at Dead Horse Point State Park on the way out (towards Moab), but by the time we were heading back to Green River, Ut. (our temporary home base), we were both dead tired!
