Massive floods and storms hit US leaving 24 dead
“Some rivers rose to near-record levels and inundated towns in already saturated areas of the South and parts of the Midwest,” CBS reported.
Evacuations are in full swing, with rescue teams braving the waters in inflatable boats. Power and gas have been cut in areas from Texas to Ohio.
