don't know what this winter is going to look like and some people are making pretty dark predictions... including CNN, who made it sound more like a threat than a prediction... whether those predictions are realized or not, the fact of the matter is that there are far too many steps between us and our food. If your food requires a supply chain, you're dependent on "the system"- my word of advice is to get out of that system, yesterday. Now, we all know we can't grow or raise everything ourselves, and that we need to have local sources for beef, pork, poultry, dairy, produce etc...
