This marsh plant can not only clean stream water passing through it, but it can provide pollen/flour substitute with FOUR TIMES the vitamin C than in an orange! It also provides an edible green inner stem, medicine for mouth sores, "nature's cotton" firestarter, and the leaves can be used as roofing for shelter.
