Hello and welcome!  I’m Robert Jefferson, a broadcast journalist at Japan’s public broadcaster NHK, and a former journalism professor at a university in Tokyo. I've been living in Japan for 41 years, currently in the city of Kamakura (home of Japan's first Shogunate), about 50 kilometers (30 miles) south of Tokyo on the coast of Sagami Bay. Yokosuka, Fujisawa and Yokohama are nearby cities. I enjoy morning hikes in our beautiful nature preserves. My hobbies are reading/learning, driving, cooking,  baking and vegetable gardening. I use my free time to watch some of the most interesting and informative channels here on Brighteon!
