Did what happened to Adam and Eve happen to you? 2-20-24

This observation is probably obvious to many people, but, I have never heard it pointed out. It seems to me Adam and Eve were like children when they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They were naked and didn’t know it, and as little kids they were probably trusting and easy to deceive for the serpent. Then after they ate the fruit from the tree, their eyes were opened and they knew they were naked as described in Genesis chapter 3. Then shortly after that they were exposed to challenges and evil through the LORD God’s curse and Cain and Abel, etc. Sounds to me similar to what happens to us. We are born in a subconscious state then at some time in our youth our eyes are opened and things start to register, and of course the world is full of challenges and evil. Maybe this is why in Matthew chapter 18 when speaking of children Jesus Christ states, “whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” I also think it is important to note that in Genesis chapter 2 Adam named all of LORD God’s creatures, Maybe, this is why little kids love animals? And now a short story. An old boss of mine and his family went to a crowded public beach one weekend. My boss’s son told him numerous times he had to pee, finally, my boss told him to go pee in the water. So, his son walked over to the edge of the water, pulled down his swimsuit, and released a high arcing stream for all to see. At this point my boss realized his son was unaware of his nakedness, with a loud burst of laughter, etc. Have a great day.
