Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has targeted at least 19 vessels that attempted to pass through the Strait of #Hormuz on Friday and Saturday, Fars News Agency reported on Sunday. This follows a report by Kpler, a leading subscription-based data and analytics platform, which stated that more than 20 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products were leaving the U.S. blockade zone on a 7-day average. According to Iranian security officials, their forces attacked 12 vessels on Friday night and 7 more on Saturday night after they attempted to pass through unauthorized routes, emphasizing that any vessel passing through without Iranian permission would face an armed response. One of the vessels that was fired upon by Iran and caught fire in the strait was an United Arab Emirates vessel, after it allegedly used an Omani corridor not approved by Tehran.

Meanwhile, Trump claimed that the US successfully escorted record volumes of oil through the strait, despite the reality that Iran continued to stopping vessels attempting to cross the US blockade line—stopping nearly 20 ships within 48 hours. US Central Command has not yet commented on the situation, during which daily cargo ship transits dropped as low as 2 vessels, down from the 125 large commercial vessels per day seen prior to the war. It is worth noting that the Strait of Hormuz is operating—but unlike before, since the US-Israel beat the drums of war on Iran. "There is no operational and sustainable mechanism for safe navigation outside of the framework approved by Iran," an Iranian security official warned.
