Regular viewers of mine know that I have a special place in my heart for Blackadder Swamp at Midland, Western Australia. Too often it is bone dry, with archetypical clods of dried mud surrounded by cracks, and one can walk right across it, without a water bird in sight. Our Noongar community have a great reverence for this wetland.
