Footage shows the heavy blows suffered by pro-Saudi forces during fierce fighting that erupted on Mount Naman and the surrounding area in the Al-Wazi'yah District, Taizz Governorate, Yemen. Ansarallah forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces reportedly repelled a Saudi-backed military formation that was attempting to target the area, according to a military source quoted by Al-Masirah on September 25, 2025. Furthermore, no Saudi-linked mercenaries were able to hold their ground, as Ansarallah troops also utilized missile fire to bombard the Saudi-aligned formations while they were gathering. As a result, initial reports indicate that dozens of those forces were killed or wounded during the unsustainable battle. In addition, Ansarallah shot down three drones, and several armored vehicles were successfully disabled, likely to end up as scrap metal in those mountains.

On the morning, Ansarallah regained control of the strategic Mount Naman, which overlooks Al-Wazi'yah, after driving out a group of Saudi-aligned forces and destroying their equipment on the vast mountainous area. Meanwhile, some media outlets aligned with Saudi Arabia claimed that they had driven out Ansarallah and taken control of Mount Naman, but without presenting any actual video footage, amid the rapidly shifting situation on the front lines. This advance has enhanced Ansarallah’s surveillance and fire control over key pro-Saudi movement and supply routes, intensifying the group’s pressure on its enemies around Al-Wazi’yah, and attention is now focused on what will happen after Al-Wazi’yah.
