For the third consecutive day, a NATO E-3B Sentry AWACS has launched from Konya Air Base in Turkey and is heading toward Iran to conduct intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.

The E-3 Sentry is a flying command center, it can track hundreds of aircraft and surface targets simultaneously across a range of over 250 miles.

AWACS is building a picture of Iran's defenses for future strikes.
