Bruno lived in the same village all his life. He met and married his wife in the same home he grew old in. Now he was a widower who sometimes felt lonely. He filled that space by taking care of some of the children in the village and making sure they had food. He knew all the townspeople, and that was why he was so shocked when he came out of his cabin and saw a dog abandoned in the forest. There was a strange letter pinned to his collar. When he read it, he started to cry. And what happened next changed his lonely life forever.
