My Dad told me these plants are called Marshmallows, but upon researching after this video, I am not certain that they are the Althaea officinalis species, perhaps a cousin in the same genus. I am impressed at how they are able to take every skerrick of sunlight for themselves. Nothing green will grow beneath this patch.
