Dr. Steven Collins - City of Sodom - Tall el-Hammam

Dr. Steven Collins (professor with the College of Archaeology at Trinity Southwest University) believes he has discovered the actual city of Sodom, described in the bible. Whether this is true or not, and there is strong evidence that it is, the academic consensus is that Steven is presently overseeing the most important archeological excavation in that area (the location of ancient Israel’s encampment prior to entering their Promised Land). The Tall el-Hammam is the largest Bronze Age city from the time of Abraham in the entire southern Lavon Israel or Jordan and has very interesting characteristics. For example, the gate house is of pillared construction and of a Minoan style architecture which is unknown in the Bronze Age. Minoan bull horns on pottery from middle Bronze Age Crete in the Mediterranean were found. No other pillared gate and no Minoan artifacts have ever been discovered in all of the excavations in Israel or Jordan. ---------- Fair Use: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act in 1976; Allowance is made for "Fair Use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
