There's 2 kinds of people coming up. The person that plans on being able to be self sufficient, for real, not just bought a few things, etc but really self sufficient. Growing food, prepping for circumstances, etc. And then there's everyone else. And when people just wanna talk about growing food but aren't really interested in doing it, that's a person who's preparing to do the other. Which is steal from you. If you're not preparing to win, you're preparing to lose and truth be told, only a VERY SMALL percentage are ACTUALLY  preparing... which means learning as well as getting stuff. I'm a plant consultant. I KNOW FPR A FACT people don't know what the hell they're doing. So you have to ask yourself... "Why are these people not ACTUALLY interested in growing food"? Becuz even most people who went out and bought "gardening"stuff won't even make it to the front yard. They love to talk about the idea and will fail miserably becuz they didn't bother to work thru the issues. The REAL ones. Not some dumb shit that people just assume will be this way or that way. So if they can't do it now, they aren't doing it then and I believe it's VASTLY understated how many people will fail miserably arñt this and be out trying to just take until someone stops em becuz they have no other options.
