Trump reposted Putin's statement on his Truth Social page, saying that Europe would "stand at the feet of its master."

Putin made this remark in response to the U.S. president's threats to impose tariffs on the EU.

"I assure you, with Trump's character and persistence, he will quickly restore order there. And all of them—you'll see, it will happen fast—will stand at the feet of their master and wag their tails a little. Everything will fall into place," Putin said.
