Grand Canyon flood is prophetic. The Grand Canyon Valley is connected to the Valley of the Shadow of Death in Psalms 23. The Valley of Dry Bones in Ezekiel 37 is connected to Elijah the prophet. Elijah is not Ellen White. 2 floods reveal 3 truths you need to know before the Sunday Law. 2 dead, at least 1 still missing after Grand Canyon flooding.

Officials have been making hundreds of phone calls and checking license plates in the effort to try to narrow the number of known missing since this weekend’s deadly flash flood. The number of people unaccounted for after catastrophic weekend floods that killed two others in the Grand Canyon has dropped to one from 15, the incident commander on the site said Monday.

Officials know the person is missing based on permit checks, but day hikers may have been in the area before the flash floods, incident commander Dave Black said at a news conference Monday evening. The floods were triggered by monsoonal rains that struck the national park.

The Nepal flood and the Grand Canyon flood occurred 3 days apart. The catastrophic debris flow and flood in Nepal took place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, triggered by a rapid slope failure involving a glacier. Just three days later, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, a sudden flash flood tore through Arizona's Grand Canyon following heavy monsoon rains.

August 31, 2026 — Mass burials take place as Nepal-China floods death toll tops 1,000. Death toll: The number of people killed following last week’s Nepal-China flash floods topped 1,000. More than 4,400 people remained unaccounted for in both countries, officials say. On the ground: Authorities are burying hundreds of unidentified victims in a mass grave, reports CNN’s team in Nepal who also spoke to the man with the Herculean task of reuniting families with the bodies of their missing loved ones. Tunnel searches: Rescue crews are racing to find workers feared trapped inside hydropower tunnels in Nepal, after thick mud buried the facilities. Around 900 workers remain missing.
