The economic growth forecast for the EU has been slashed sharply after the Ukraine-Russia conflict, especially when it is severely impacted by the energy supply issue. Now, the EU fell apart on this question as some support the ongoing and further sanctions on Russia, while others refuse to pay the price for possible outcomings.

On Monday, the EU revised its gross domestic product to 2.7% this year and 2.3% in 2023, according to this 27-nation bloc’s executive arm. And it’s the first economic prediction since the conflict broke out on February 24th. The European Commission’s previous outlook expected growth of 4% this year and 2.8% in 2023.
