Someone left a comment for Paññobhāsa asking about this so he and Ajahn Punnadhammo and I made this video. I learned more about the distinctions in the Buddha's influences before his enlightenment with the shamanic like Samanas and the Vedic people of his day. It seems that Prince Siddhartha grew up on the outskirts on the Vedic influence.
