The standards we experience from every area of society from our infancy and through our childhood, and then our adulthood, normalise what most of us accept. Standards across the board are now so abysmal, that our society is at risk of plunging back hundreds of years, only to have to rebuild all the great advances in civility and ethics that have been made, even if only in isolated pockets of our interactions. We must take issue with low standards, within ourselves and externally, and strive to improve across the board. We must rejoice in each other’s successes.
