Billabongs serve such an important role for Australia's waterbird life, and in Western Australia, small, tiny, and microscopic aquatic life; larger fish and the like don't get much of a foothold in this one. This billabong graces the John George Walk Trail in Viveash, just metres from the Swan-Avon River, but usually dries out before next wet season's rains arrive.
