The Aliens from the movie "They Live" are real, the movie is a documentary. The main actor Roddy Piper confirmed this in a tweet.

In the movie the aliens don't have a name, but in the novel that They Live is based on, they are called "Fascinators". Multi-eyed reptilian beings (just as portrayed in the youtube movie Rakka). They hypnotize humanity into complacence in order to literally consume them and Television is the Fascinators' primary weapon.
