and at the other end turning and jumping around in a wild way because of the air that looks for an exit at 8 bar airpressure. The pistons are likewise connected to the valves and midicontrolled by hand.
With the movements of the tubes and pistons I create beats and soundscapes amplified by microphones fixed on the valves. The 'left-over-air' blows directly from the valve-unit into the mics and is instantly audible in this live-event. This soundsource-signal goes as well through my computer as soundinput for digital soundprocessing.
I play with the installation as an instrument. Moving back and forward; towards and away from reality; from real pneumatic noise (directly linked to the visible dialogue between the pistons and the tubes) to virtual digital noise-layers which are live processed by my computer (triggered by live events.) Both are composed and controlled by me. To highlight the behaviour of the tubes I use blacklight, so a complete experience will take place.
