JUST IN:DeSantis Beats Trump in Official Fla. Univ./CPAC Poll- His Speech was substance over style.

BREAKING: ENTIRE DeSantis Speech begins at 9 minutes 12 seconds here. 9:12 For the first time, someone other than Donald Trump has won an official North Florida University /CPAC straw poll at the 2022 CPAC Convention here in Orlando. The conservative attendees official hand written ballots were tallied on Saturday for who they thought was the best GOP candidate for the 2024 GOP presidential election.
Later, on Sunday morning, an infuriated Trump won the an unofficial or "informal" Matt Schlapp CPAC straw poll that was taken after his speech Saturday night and after many attendees has already departed the event.
Many of those who voted for DeSantis said that they would still support Trump as a second choice but overwhelmingly believed that despite Trump's style and appeal, the former Navy JAG Officer, Congressman & current governor of Florida Ron DeSantis, would actually GOVERN far better than the former President.
It appeared that many of the attendees seemed to be battle weary of the incessant drama surrounding Trump the past 4 years and were disappointed in the current state of the nation, the border Wall being far from completed, hundreds of unpardoned, innocent Trump supporters still in jail from Jan. 6th 2020, the tyrannical mandates of Trump and his CDC Director Tony Fauci's handling of the COVID pandemic.
What's more, many were very concerned about Trump's current and avid support of mRNA vaccines and boosters (that official CDC VAERS data is now showing massive adverse reactions to the experimental serums) just to name a few of the issues concerning attendees.
Time will tell, but one thing is for certain - Governor Ron DeSantis is a rising star in the Republican Party and has already accumulated a vast record of accomplishments here in the Sunshine State - what DeSantIs refers to as the "freest" state in the Union.
After all, many felt that EARLY ON, DeSantis stood alone as THE chief executive in the fight against business lockdowns (he even resisted Trump's national lockdown in March of 2020) mask and vaccine mandates and has repeatedly refused to admit publicly whether he has even taken a booster shot which seems to have infuriated the vaccinated and boostered Trump who is also angry that DeSantis refuses to endorse him and openly renounce his presidential ambitions for 2024.
Trump has even sanctioned some of his loyalist operatives such as Roger Stone and other political hacks, to aggressively begin to commence their internal attacks against the all-star governor here in Florida. Many GOP attendees- especially from Florida. were not too pleased with that tactic and felt it was divisive, cruel and insensitive especially since DeSantis's wife Casey has been battling cancer.
DESANTIS FOUGHT MEDICAL TYRANNY AS NO OTHER:
Ron DeSantis was an early disciple of Dr. Peter McCullough, who invoked a brilliant strategy of creating multiple aggressive EARLY TREATMENT Centers for safe and effective treatment of COVID ( with the use of Regeneron monoclonal, Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, antibiotics, zinc, Vita D & nutraceuticals, heavy oxygen treatment-not ventilators) which now in hindsight has been credited with saving tens of thousands of lives here in Florida which had one of the lowest death per capita death rates of any state in America. Attendees also stated their appreciation fir the governors staunch resistance to deadly Remdisivir for use in an hospital/ambulatory setting (a drug former President drug really promoted while he was chief executive).
Lower taxes, no state income tax, new roads and infrastructure, ia robust and full scale defense of free speech and liberty, Florida right to carry gun laws, strong anti immigration policies, a booming economy and housing market, the governors DIVESTING of all CCP global cap corporations and elimination of investment funds with links to Communist China (divesture of the nearly one billion in Florida state retirement funds from China) the outlawing of Trump administration pro LBGTQ sex education era Common Core curriculum and banning of all
Marxist CRT classes in Florida schools, a return to optimal prayer in the schools with traditional American history taught etc. - the bottom line was that despite Trump's swooning audiences with flamboyant speeches - most wished that Trump had GOVERNED nationally as DeSantis governed here in the Sunshine State.
