According to ancient myths and legends, an advanced sea faring civilization once established numerous colonies around the world in antiquity. Perceived as a race of technologically advanced "gods", they introduced agriculture, megalithic architecture, and religious customs to hunter gatherer tribes on both sides of the Atlantic, eventually intermarrying and interbreeding with the comparatively primitive hominins that they taught and governed, becoming their nobility, leaving behind a cultural and genetic legacy that often resulted in the deification of their royal lineage.
