Russia's Defence Ministry announced that its forces had taken control of Rozdolivka in eastern Ukraine on June 28. It said that Southern military grouping had taken up more favourable positions after pushing Ukrainian forces out of the village. However, Ukraine's military said heavy fighting was raging in areas around the settlement. The Russian defence ministry also announced that it had carried out 17 air strikes against Ukrainian targets since June 22 and nearly 14,000 soldiers were wiped out in the operation.
