If you think about it, many military terms are derived from the simple word fire: firearms, gunfire, firing squad, hold your fire, commence firing, cease firing, hang fire, fire in the hole, "Fire!" fireball, firebomb, firebrand, firefight, firing line, firepower, and firestorm, to name some. Truly, this is the kind of fire the beast brings down from heaven.
