In the first confrontation of this magnitude, Indian Air Force lost 5 fighter jets in a single night, while Pakistan did not lose a single aircraft, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif reported on his official account on May 7, in a clear message to India. According to the Defense Minister, this was reportedly in retaliation for Indian recent missile strikes, which targeted locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir Pakistan has closed its airspace for the past 48 hours in retaliation against India. The cruise missiles allegedly launched by Pakistan, flying towards targets in Indian-occupied Kashmir, are now on fire! Military analysts now say that Pakistani retaliation appears to be on a larger scale than Indian initial attack. Footage shows an Indian strike on the town of Bhawalpur, near the border, early this morning on May 7. Indian aircraft reportedly dropped fuel tankers on frontline positions in Kashmir, claiming to be prepared for continued fighting amid rising tensions in a significant escalation of hostilities.
Both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers, a rapid escalation could turn into a disaster at any time! New footage from the village of Aklian Kalan in Indian Punjab province shows the wreckage of an Indian French Rafale multirole fighter jet, surrounded by curious locals seeking a glimpse of the scene. It is the third Rafale to be shot down by Pakistani forces, according to a Pakistani military spokesman. The video shows the remains of the aircraft, which appears to be a Rafale, armed with French MICA air-to-air missiles, still attached to its launcher. Meanwhile an unconfirmed report said that a Pakistani counter-attack may have brought down the Indian helicopter in Kashmir. “Pakistani troops are carrying out indiscriminate firing along the border,” the Indian Defense Ministry spokesman complained.
Meanwhile, Pakistani military spokesman detailed Indian losses, saying at least 3 Rafale fighter jets, 1 Sukhoi-30MKI, and 1 MiG-29S were shot down. There are unofficial reports of 1 Mirage-2000 and 1 Indian UAV, also shot down by Pakistan and reportedly captured several Indian soldiers. Pakistani Defense Ministry has said, "If India attacks and Pakistani existence is threatened, no one will be safe. We will not allow any other country to live on this planet." Pakistani Defense Minister has confirmed that at least 3 civilians including 1 child have been killed after India launched a missile attack on Pakistani territory. Reports say at least 30 people have been reported killed in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. There is widespread chaos in hospitals and internet blackouts are likely in the region. The world is on the brink of the most dangerous confrontation in South Asia in decades. India must urgently find a mediator to end the fighting with Pakistan, before its entire air force goes up in smoke!
