at the turn of the 19th century there was a writer, C. I. Scofield, who taught dispensationlism or the idea that Daniel's time prophecy about Jesus the Messiah & the last 7 years was on hold. Daniel said it would happen in so many years & it did, but Scofield interpreted as a gap in time & that we're still waiting for a fictitious seven year covenant. he taught the secret Rapture, the 3rd temple, Zionism, that the Jewish people are somehow saved just cause they're Jewish.
this has been the current mindset of the false church for a hundred years except for just a few. check out Chuck Baldwin, he's a great one to set you straight.
