What communion can accomplish.
When people receive communion, they are remembering Jesus Christ in the flesh on earth, as described in Matthew chapter 26. The bread being his body and the cup being his blood. So, when you receive communion, you are symbolically confessing that Jesus Christ came to earth in the flesh, which is great, because 1John chapter 4 verse 2 states, “every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, And every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God.” Then 2John verse 7 states, “men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a one is the deceiver and the Antichrist.” But, in my understanding of the Holy Bible, you have to put your faith in God where he is, as Jesus Christ states in Matthew chapter 10 verses 32 and 33, “So every one who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven; but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” Now, the good news is, believing in Jesus Christ where he is will lead to your salvation, as Romans chapter 10 verse 9 states, “if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Also, Mark chapter 16 verse 19 states, “So when the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God." Have a great day.
