It wasn’t until the 1930s that botanists finally worked out the Nuytsia floribunda, W.A.’s Christmas tree, is a member of the mistletoe family. After doing this video, I searched online to learn that there are at least two other species of mistletoe family plants with self-supporting stems out of the ground.
