My first garlic planting in over 40 years, why did I leave it so long? After shooting the video the recollection came back to me that I had grown it on the family farm before I was 20, and had stored it in a carport hanging from the ceiling, and that a weevil species or some such had eaten many cloves. I was surprised, in my youthful naivety, that any pest would tackle garlic.
