When a ranger stumbles upon a bear in the middle of a forest, he is surprised to notice that she doesn’t display any threatening behavior towards him. But then he sees she has a human baby clutched in her paws, and is refusing to let go of it. This sight is even more surprising. The other rangers in the area told him about a she-bear who had recently lost her cubs, and was experiencing terrible grief. But no one had told him anything about a lonely baby in the middle of the woods. When the ranger discovers the reason for this strange occurrence, he can’t help but shed a tear.
