TODAY CAME THE VERDICT AFTER THE RIOTS IN KRONOGÅRDEN
MOHAMMED ZORKOT CONVICTED OF 25 CRIMES AVOIDS PRISON
Two weeks ago I testified against Mohammed Zorkot who attacked me and stole my equipment while I was reporting in the city of Trollhättan in 2019. During the trial, several other crimes committed by Mohammed Zorkot in recent years were also discussed.
Today, the district court finished its work and Mohammed Zorkot was convicted of aggravated theft, three cases of threatening police officers, weapons offences, two cases of violating the knife law, two cases of drunk driving, four cases of drug offences and twelve cases of aggravated unlawful driving.
As he has a history of serious offences and has 12 sections in his criminal record, I am convinced that he will now be sentenced to prison when I open the letter from the district court.
But judge by my surprise when I read the penalty decided by the district court. Mohammed Zorkot is sentenced to only 200 hours of community service and to pay me SEK 900 in damages.
In my opinion, this verdict is a joke and proof that in Sweden you can behave in any way you want without any consequences. You can rob journalists, threaten police officers, carry weapons, deal drugs, drink and drive on several occasions and in principle escape punishment.
Congratulations to the criminals in our country. If you didn't know it before, you now know that crime pays in Sweden.
I wonder why we even had a trial two weeks ago? Surely it would have been better just to give Mohammed Zorkot a medal for good behaviour, and we would have saved both time and money.
And why should we witnesses stand up and subject ourselves to all this when the justice system is always on the side of the criminals in the end?
Mohammed Zorkot has a background in Lebanon. I wonder what punishment he would have received if he had committed all these crimes in that country?
