Good day from Kamakura, Japan on this Saturday, October 3rd! Well, after 36 rainy days in a row, I finally got my outdoor low-rise grow tent set up. I also enjoyed my very first sweet potato harvest… and even picked the leaves to use like spinach later this autumn. I dried the season’s first persimmons for a tasty snack… Saved seeds from a super-ripe cucumber… And gathered the last of my plentiful eggplants!
A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust." Gertrude Jekyll
