Many people report experiencing anxiety or panic at some point in their life. A lesser number experience this more consistently and must learn to manage it with professional assistance and/or self-help materials. One self-help body of work, that aided many, was authored by Australian psychiatrist named Dr. Claire Weekes (1903-1990) who graduated from the University of Sydney. She wrote on the nature of anxiety and panic while outlining the details of simple exercises she used to treat both her patients’ anxiety and her own. Some of those who benefited from her practice went on to help others and a self-help community of sorts was born. The following recording is from that community. ---------- Fair Use: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act in 1976; Allowance is made for "Fair Use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
