Until two evenings ago, I had never visited Hyde Park, Perth, on my own. Now, this is my second visit on my own in 48 hours. Soul recharge in the order of the visit, as well as quenching a thirst for black tea, a whole litre of it, a mix of green and black, with fennel seeds in 3 infusers, plus a sliced half lemon, peel and all. I was refused entry to visit my ill wife in RPHospital, and since I drive past Hyde park to and from the hospital when I go to and from my place, rather than my grandsons’ place, I could not resist the opportunity to soak up the natural emanations of this oasis in the built-up surrounds. Quoting from Wikipedia, “Prior to European settlement, the area was known to the local Noongar people as Boodjamooling.”
