Today’s teaching unpacks Jesus’ own explanation of the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:18–23) and why it’s the “master key” to understanding every other parable. Rick and Doc stress Jesus’ solemn call—“Hear ye therefore”—as an invitation to active listening and willing hearts. Drawing from Luke 8:11–15 and G. Campbell Morgan’s rules, they show that Jesus is the Sower, the Word is the seed, and people who receive the Word are “sown” by the Lord into the world’s places of pain. Fruitfulness is determined by the heart’s condition: wayside, rocky, thorny, or good ground. We’re urged to let the Holy Spirit plow our hearts, cut away the thorns of distraction, and bear lasting fruit—thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold—for the King’s harvest.
