Has modern science discovered the firmament? Is the Van Allen Belt part of it? Why has NASA (on more than one occasion) wanted to blow it up and/or punch holes in something they readily admit is here for our protection? How come Orion can't get through the Van Allen Belt, yet we were told Apollo had no problem doing so 40+ years ago?
