Russian equipment and a support base are still located in the area of ​​the airport in the city of Qamishli on the northeastern border with Turkey, which, after being completely handed over to the Kurds, is being actively bombed by Turkish drones. 

American units are also entering the area to prevent the expansion of the offensive by pro-Turkish militants. It is reported that in this regard, the Russian Armed Forces units stationed here will receive safe passage.
