Cannabis stocks have retraced much of their gains for the year, Viridian Capital believes we are likely to see a higher ratio of cash employed in acquisitions as MSOs become more conscious of dilution. They also expect to see a higher percentage of capital raises from debt.

Only 4% of the $6.1 billion cultivation & retail sector acquisitions was paid in cash, down from an average of 13% over the previous two years.

Take-Away: raise capital, scale and acquire, or risk becoming a target.
