The mechanism of various phytoremediators—particularly mechanisms of degradation—are a viable possibility towards restoration of not only the poisoned environment in East Palestine, Ohio, but anywhere around the world that is even slightly polluted with contaminants.
This course of action implies planting what's proven to work, discovering other chemicals these plants will phytoremediate, as well as the discovery of additional plants and trees that function in a similar manner.
Follow the Substack link (in description) to learn about the different mechanisms involved in the phytoremediation process. This includes a more in-depth scientific analysis around close to a hundred different plants and trees, their respective mechanism of phytoremediation, what chemicals and metals they’ve been proven to ‘pick up’ and breakdown, and included studies linked to their effectiveness.
